  •  Validate all your data and files every 5 years to ensure that it's still accessible. If the data is corrupted, replace it with another backup.
  •  Back up to the Cloud in addition to backing to an external hard drive or hardcopy.
  •  Transfer and store all your files and data to a modern physical media every 10 years (or less). This is necessary to ensure that your data is intact, access and readable even if the application is no longer supported.
